      Die beiden UFC LW und HW Fighter sind aneinander geraten bei einem UFC Presse Event in Los Angeles.

      Ferguson beantwortete gerade eine Frage, als Werdum ihm rein rede. Ferguson sagte dann, er solle warten bis er fertig ist, woraufhin Werdum anfing auf portugisisch Ferguson aufs uebelste beleidigte mit homosexuellen Schimpfwoertern.

      Mittlerweile musste sich Werdum fuer den Vorfall entschuldigen, er kam hier aber wie ein Ass rueber.

      Die UFC gab folgendes Statement bekannt zu Werdum`s Ausfall:

      “The UFC organization is disappointed with recent comments made by Fabricio Werdum at a promotional event in Los Angeles. The nature and implication of his comments do not reflect UFC’s views and will not be tolerated, no matter the manner in which they are used.


      We acknowledge and appreciate that Fabricio has since apologized to the organization and to anyone he may have offended with his words. As high profile athletes, role models, and global ambassadors of the sport of Mixed Martial Arts, athletes under contract with UFC are required to abide by the Athlete Conduct Policy. Given his breach of this policy, Fabricio has agreed to perform community outreach within the LGBTQ community in Las Vegas, taking steps to enact change and make a direct impact within the community.”

      Sollte die UFC Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz III booken, ist Tony Ferguson kein Fan davon:

      “Anything else with as far as him trying to fight Nate, the bulls--t rankings and everything that the UFC stands for goes out the window, man. You have rankings for a reason. You have an interim belt for a reason. That’s so you can unify the thing.

      The guy’s [Diaz] a Top 10, not even a top 5. Kevin’s got more heart than Nate. And I got more heart than this whole entire division. If they want to put together that fight that’s great, but the fans would be pissed because they know that Diaz and Conor is gonna make a lot of money, but the real righteous thing to do is to make sure that the belts become unified. That’s what really needs to happen.”

      Ich meine…die UFC Rankings und das UFC Machmaking sind ja ein joke und haben keine Glaubwuerdigkeit, was denke ich jeder weiss.

    • Rafael Natal beendet seine Karriere

      Middleweight Fighter und BJJ Black Belt Rafael Natal (34 Jahre) hat sein Karriereende verkuendet. Natal hatte einen 21-9-1 MMA Rekord in seiner 12 jaehrigen MMA Karriere und war die letzten 7 Jahre in der UFC wo er einen 9-7-1 Rekord hatte. Natal verlor jedoch die letzten drei Fights, die letzten zwei durch KO. Natal hat ein MMA Gym in Brazil und will ein weiteres in New York eroeffnen.

      UFC 208 PPV buys: 200,000

      UFC 209 PPV buys: 300,000

      UFC 210 PPV buys: 300,000

      UFC 211 PPV buys: 300,000

      UFC 212 PPV buys: 200,000

      UFC 213 PPV buys: 130,000

      UFC 214 PPV buys: 850,000

      Die UFC hat dieses Jahr bisher gerade Mal ca. 2,300,000 PPVs verkauft (bis UFC 214), damit liegt man um einiges hinten im Vergleich zu 2016, aber das war zu erwarten, da 2017 von den groesseren Draws die man hat/hatte nur Jon Jones bisher antrat. Die UFC wird beten das GSP vs Bisping viel drawt und Jones keine 4 Jahre Sperre bekommt, sowieso McGregor sich doch dazu herablaesst wieder in der UFC anzutreten.

      Eigentlich erschreckend wenn man bedenkt wie wenige Divisions aktuell hot sind, und das der letzte Star den die UFC mit aufgebaut hat Conor McGregor war.

      Erschreckend auch das die Fan Basis enorm klein geworden ist. Viel kleiner auf jedenfall zu den Fans die angezogen werden durch grosse Namen und Freak Fights. Da ist es auch kein Wunder, dass das Matchmaking immer irrsinniger wird.Ich denke nur, kurzfristig bringt das schlechte Matchmaking ausgerichtet auf Freak Fights und Big Money Fights Geld, langfristig vergrault man aber die Basis damit.

      UFC Flyweight Fighter Ian McCall hat um seiner Entlassung gebeten und die UFC hat ihm die Entlassung genehmigt. McCall trat seit 2015 nicht mehr an. 5 Fights wurden in dem Zeitraum gecancelt weil entweder McCall krank wurde, oder seine Gegner sich verletzten. McCall hat einen 2-3-1 UFC Record, wobei der eine Draw gegen Demetrious Johnson kam. McCall will seine Karriere nun ausserhalb der UFC fortsetzen.

      WME-IMG hat nun eine holding company gegruendet mit dem Namen “Endeavor“, und diese neue holding ist Eigentuemer der UFC. In einem Statement heisst es:

      “WME-IMG represented a pivotal moment in our company’s history, but it does not accurately reflect the extent of our diversity or indicate where we’re headed.     • Dana White bestreitet Conor McGregor-WWE Verhandlungen

      Dana White hat in einem Interview bei Good Day New York die Geruechte der Irish Sun wiedersprochen, wonach Conor McGregor mit WWE verhandelt aufgrund eines Auftritts bei Wrestlemania 34 im kommenden Jahr. Als Beweiss zeigte Dana White Text Nachrichten die er und Vince McMahon diese Woche austauschten, wonach Vince McMahon schrieb das es sich dabei um eine Fehlmeldung handelt und man nicht mit McGregor spricht oder gesprochen hat.

      Also zuerst habe ich mir gedacht, hey es ist die Sun, also Bullshit, aber jetzt wo Dana White und Vince McMahon es bestreiten, ist es wahrscheinlich wahr…

    • Daniel Cormier vs Volkan Oezdemir als naechstes!?

      UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier (19-1-0) sagte nun das er als naechstes auf Volkan Oezdemir (15-1-0) treffen wird. Der Fight soll Anfang 2018 stattfinden. Eigentlich wollte Cormier bei UFC 219 Ende December auftreten, aber der Arzt haette ihm davon abgeraten. Cormier verlor bisher nur gegen Doper Jon Jones, wobei seine letzte Niederlage zu einem No Contest erklaert wurde. Oezdemir hat seine drei UFC Fights gewonnen.

    • UFC will Conor McGregor vs Georges St-Pierre machen

      Dana White sagte nun in einem interview, dann wenn McGregor seinen Lightweight Title verteidigt gegen Tony Ferguson, und GSP den UFC Middleweight Title gewinnt und ebenfalls einmal verteidigt, dass man hofft, im Sommer naechsten Jahres McGregor vs GSP zu booken.

      Wenn man die letzten PPV Zahlen kennt, weiss man warum die UFC versuchen wird, grosse Money Fights zu booken, da man dringend die PPV Zahlen erhoehen muss. White sagte auch das der Fight in Ireland im Crok Park (100,000 Zuschauer Stadium), in Toronto Sky Dome (60,000 Zuschauer Stadium) oder in Las Vegas stattfinden koennte.

      Jetzt muss er nur noch beten das GSP gegen Bisping gewinnt, und McGregor nicht noch Mal von Ferguson exposed wird.

      Lyman Good, der letztes Jahr positiv getestet wurde auf Androsteindione und eine 6 monatige Sperre bekam, hat die Firma Gaspari Nutrition verklagt, weil er nachweisen konnte, dass ein Produkt von ihnen (anavite) diese Substanz enthaelt, es aber nicht auf dem Label angegeben ist.

      Das ist nicht die Erste Klage gegen die Firma, schon 2012 wurde die Firma verklagt weil sie Steroide in ihren Produkten hatte ohne es anzugeben.

      Dana White sagte in einem Interview, das er mixed (MMA und Boxing Events) ausschliesst, er jedoch nicht ausschliesst das die UFC auch Boxing Events veranstaltet.

      “No mixed events, but I could see bringing boxing under our umbrella and trying to see what we could do with that.”

      Wie schon einmal gesagt, mit einiger Investition, den richtigen Boxern, koennte es funktionieren. Die UFC ist ein Brand der fuer MMA steht, hat aber auch einen Wert wenn sie etwa Kickboxing, Boxing oder aehnliches promoten wuerden. Dann braucht es jedoch viel Geld, Zeit und die richtigen Boxer die man von Anfang an hat.

      Dana White schrieb einen Open Letter ueber die Situation mit Mark Hunt:

      Mark Hunt was never “cleared” to fight Marcin Tybura in Sydney, Australia this November. Period. And the statements he’s been making, saying that he is, are just not true.

      Let me tell you what I know.

      Mark Hunt recently wrote an op-ed piece for an Australian website that described some serious symptoms.

      He wrote that he’s starting to stutter and slur his words.

      He wrote that he’s not sleeping well.

      He wrote that he can’t remember something he did yesterday.

      These are his words, from him, but now he’s saying it was taken out of context. How can you take your own words out of context? So you know what I did? My team contacted his management within the first week of learning about these symptoms and offered to fly him to Las Vegas first class to visit the Lou Ruvo Brain Center — which is the best in the world for brain research — to get more tests done. And you know what? He absolutely refused.

      How can I put a guy with these symptoms he said he’s experiencing immediately back in the Octagon without additional tests? I definitely wasn’t going to do that. So I did the only thing I could do — which is to pull him off an event that would have him fighting just nine weeks after writing his piece so he can have the proper time to see a specialist. Let me remind you that this is an event I already had signed contracts for and spent a lot of money marketing and advertising, so this was a big loss. But it was the right thing to do.

      So here we are now. After all of this, Mark is saying that I have it out for him and I am holding a grudge because he filed a lawsuit. Let me ask you this:

      Would I have placed him in two additional fights, including one in which he headlined the event?

      Or paid him 1.645 million dollars, which includes a $50k Fight of the Night bonus and a $25k discretionary bonus?

      All of this was AFTER the lawsuit, so how can anyone say I have any issues with this guy?

      Bottom line, my job is to put on the best fights in the world and part of that is to protect these guys from themselves. I get it, they’re fighters and they want to fight. But this only works if safety comes first, and that’s always been my goal — to provide a level playing field and a safe, regulated environment for our fighters to compete in. I’ve been doing that for almost 20 years and I’m not going to stop now.
