Direct TV cancelt alle July PPV`s von TNAW - Nefercheperur - 06.07.2004
TNAW musste heute bekannt geben das Direct TV keine PPV`s im July von TNAW austrahlt.Der letzte PPV auf Direct TV war also der Event am 30 June 2004.Ob TNAW ueberhaupt nochmal einen PPV ueber Direct TV austrahlt ist offen,auf einen genauen zeitraum wollte sich TNAW nicht festlegen.Auf jedenfall bedeutet dies fuer TNAW einen sehr harten Rueckschlag.Zwar waren die PPV Buyrates nie wirklich gut sondern nur bei 6000 bis 8000 buys pro PPV jedoch waren die PPV`s der Kernpunkt fuer TNAW.Sollte laengerfristig Direct TV keine PPV`s von TNAW austrahlen wuerde nur noch Impact bleiben als Nationale Plattform.
Folgende E-Mail ging heute ueber die Mailing List von Total Nonstop Action Wrestling heraus:
Dear TNA Wrestling fans with DIRECTV,
We are writing to you, our most loyal fans, to let you know that due to circumstances beyond our control, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling Pay-Per-View events will not air on DIRECTV in the month of July and for an undetermined amount of time. The last scheduled live TNA Wrestling Pay-Per-View event on DIRECTV aired on June 30, 2004.
This situation only affects customers of DIRECTV. All other outlets will continue to carry TNA events as they always have.
Remember, although our Pay-Per-View events will not be made available on DIRECTV, you can still watch Total Nonstop Action Wrestling IMPACT! on your local Fox Sports Net affiliate every Friday at 3pm, and on Comcast Sports Net every Saturday at midnight (check your program guide for info on channel/time).
We understand that you may have the urge to contact DIRECTV directly about this situation. We have set up an e-mail box, directv@nwatna.com, to which you can send any comments that you would like DIRECTV to receive. We will forward all e-mails sent to directv@nwatna.com to the appropriate contacts at DIRECTV.

ist das der anfang vom ende?
Koennte gut moeglich sein.Denn wenn die PPV`s ausfallen langfristig (also nicht nur im July) dann wird TNAW sicherlich Probleme bekommen und ihre Ausrichtung umstellen muessen.Dann wird naemlich Impact umso wichtiger und muss man dort alle Faeden zusammenlaufen lassen.Ob das funktioniert mit dem Timeslot darf bezweifelt werden.
Auch schloss ja TNAW viele Vertraege ab,wenn es nur noch 1 Show mit Impact pro Woche gibt wuerde sich es nichtmehr lohnen einen Raven $US 1200 zugeben oder Chris Harris der das selbe verdient.
Da bin ich mal gespannt wie das weitergeht die naechsten Tagen,Wochen und vielleicht Monate.
kleines Update - Nefercheperur - 07.07.2004
So hier noch eine kleine Info zusaetzlich.Bei uns in Canada werden die PPV`s weiterhin auf Viewer's Choice Canada ausgestrahlt werden.Ob in den USA die reichweite von TVN so gross ist darf bezweifelt werden.Das heisst TNAW ist nur noch in Canada und ueber TVN in wenigen teilen der USA ueber PPV zu empfangen.
Ueber das Internet kann man die PPV`s sich auch anschauen ueber In Demand aber das zaehlt wohl weniger als wirklicher PPV Anbieter.
