UFC gab heute "inoffiziell" auf ihrer website bekannt das die UFC in Zukunft im US Free TV zusehen sein wird.Die UFC schaltete auf ihrer website eine Werbung wo sie Fighter sucht fuer eine neue TV Show der UFC.Die Fighter sollen zwischen 170 und 265 pounds wiegen und ueber eine MMA Erfahrung verfuegen.Die Suche geht vom 15 June bis 25 June.Details wann die UFC TV Show startet wurden nicht bekannt gegeben.Hier nun das Original Statement von http://www.ufc.tv

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is producing a new television show. We are looking for fighters weighing between 170 and 265 pounds. If you think you have what it takes, send us the following:

-Detailed biography
-Video of your MMA bouts
-A video interview with yourself, showing your personality. Get creative!

Casting will be held from June 15 through July 15. No tapes will be accepted after June 25. Don’t hesitate!

Seit letzten Jahr wurde nun spekuliert um einen Free TV Deal,zwar fehlt noch die offizielle Stellungnahme der UFC jedoch duerfte die bald kommen.Wenn man nun schon Fighter fuer die Show sucht duerfte sie im 4 Quartal des Jahres starten.
Es wird interessant zusehen sein ob sich das Konzept im Free TV behaupten kann,auf dem PPV markt hat sich die UFC etabliert,nur das Problem der Zuschauer in den Hallen ist immernoch da.Das Free TV koennte da einen ausschlag geben.

Anfang June berichteten wir darueber das die UFC eine Free TV Show bekommen wird.UFC hat nun das offiziell bestaetigt,der Sender auf dem UFC laufen wird ist Spike TV.Das wirft natuerlich einige Brisanz auf da WWE auch bei Spike TV ist und bisher alles versuchte das UFC kein TV Deal bekommen wird.Die Austrahlung wird ab dem Januar 2005 anfangen und zuerst 13 ein Stunden Shows beinhalten.Die Show wird den Namen "The Ultimate Fighter" bekommen.

Das Konzept der Show sieht folgendermassen aus.Die Show wird diesen Sommer und Herbst im UFC Training Center in Las Vegas produziert.16 Fighter werden antretten nur vier werden uebrig bleiben und einen UFC Contract ueber 6 Fights bekommen.Die 4 Fighter die uebrig bleiben lassen sich ableiten fuer die 4 Division`s in der UFC: Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight,Middleweight und Welterweight.Also so ein aehnliches Konzept wie Tough Enough,wobei die UFC version erheblich haerter werden wird.Der Kreative Part und Producer hinter der Show ist Craig Piligian der eine der erfolgreichsten Shows in Amerika produzierte Survivor.

Im uebrigen wird die UFC mit ihrer Show einiges an Konkurrenz haben,auf FOX wird die Show "The Next Great Champ" anlaufen,eine Art Tough Enough fuer Boxer sowie die Show "The Contender" auf NBC.

Das Konzept wird denke ich nicht aufgehen.Denn es wird so geil wenn da die 4 die gewinnen, denken sie wuerden im Octagon eine Chance haben und dann bekommen sie dermassen eine auf die Fresse das werden sie ihr leben lang nichtmehr vergessen.Gut es ist sehr wahrscheinlich das die 4 Gewinner die ersten 2 Fights auf ebenfalls Rookies treffen bzw Gegner die keine Gefahr darstellen,im Heavyweight Bereich zum BSP Wes Sims Breites Grinsen .

Aber wenn es gegen gute Fighter geht,dann koennen die trainieren wie sie wollen,sie haben zwar etwas ueber 6-9 Monate zeit durch die verschiebung,jedoch glaube ich kaum das einer der 18 Fighter wirklich denn durchbruch schaffen kann Training ist eine sache,das Octagon eine andere.Denn ein guter Fighter haette sich auch ohne die Show bereits durchgesetzt und einen Namen gemacht,der braucht die Show nicht.Auch wenn die 18 Fighter einen Fightbackground haben muessen so glaube ich kaum das jemand fuer die UFC geeignet ist bzgl seines Talents.

It is of interest to note all UFC athletes are highly-trained and many are college-educated. Sports pedigrees include the Olympics, the Pan American Games and NCAA Division I All-Americans.
