Cuban fined $250,000 for misconduct
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been fined $250,000 US by the National Basketball Association for "several acts of misconduct" during the NBA final.
He sought out and yelled at the game officials immediately after the Mavericks' 101-100 overtime loss to the Miami Heat in Game 5 on Sunday night.
He later went over to the scorer's table, where he glared into the stands in the direction of commissioner David Stern.
Cuban then left the court, making his feelings known to anyone within earshot. He also criticized several calls that went against Dallas in media interviews.

NEW YORK (Ticker) - Dirk Nowitzki's frustration has cost him some money.
The star forward of the Dallas Mavericks was fined $5,000 for kicking the basketball into the stands following Game Five of the NBA Finals.
The announcement was made Monday by Stu Jackson, the NBA senior vice president of basketball operations.
After winning the first two games of the series against the Miami Heat, the Mavericks dropped all three road contests and now face elimination on their home floor in Game Six on Tuesday night.
It marks the second time the league has targeted the Mavs in the series. Valuable swingman Jerry Stackhouse was suspended for Game Five after a flagrant foul on Shaquille O'Neal in the previous contest.
Nowitzki and the Mavs were left upset after Game Five, a contest in which Dwyane Wade sank two free throws with 1.9 seconds left to give Miami a 101-100 lead. Nowitzki had hit a jumper with 9.1 seconds left that gave Dallas a 100-99 advantage.
In addition to Wade's free throws, the Mavs were whistled for having called their final timeout in between Wade's free throws, not allowing them to inbound the ball at mid-court. Coach Avery Johnson and other Mavericks protested the call to no avail.
The Mavs' best player throughout the postseason, Nowitzki has struggled in the Finals, making just 31-of-83 shots.
