Welcome on board, Bob! Daumen hoch

I'd also like to ask you a question: Lets say you are scheduled to appear for an event on saturday night... what's youre routine of the day? When are you heading to the arena? How's the atmosphere in the locker room? Do you talk with your "opponent" about the big spots that you're going to do in the match or are you just going out there and calling the moves while the match is on?

Would be very glad if you find the time to answer my question Smile

These vary per show and per who I'm working...

At WCCW I'm a regular. Bell time is 7:30pm, doors open at 6:00pm. I like to be there no later than 5pm so I can get at least an hour in the ring to work on new things I want to try or to help some of the up and coming guys work out. I generally don't know who I'm working until the booker posts the card in the back, unless I'm in some angle or something we're building for. Generally the booker will tell you what he wants out of your match... some give you more creativity than others.

On this show I'm more of a main event guy so I'm generally going on in the later part of the night. Depending on whose been working longer, the vet generally calls the match while working with you on what you can or cant or want to do. Some guys like to call long intricate spots, some guys like to work on the fly and listen to the crowd... I take pride in that I feel like I can work with almost anyone and their style... but personally like a little of both, like call a few high-lights and let the crowd dictate what they want to see out of me. That way you can adjust as needed.

Now when I work a show like the MWA, its different. Bell time is 7pm, doors open at 6pm. They are the people who taught me how to wrestle, so I tend to get there early with the trainees like at noon, help with ring and then train/work out for 3 hours to keep getting better. On this show I'm generally more of a low carder with my job to help younger guys look better or get the show started off with a bang. I don't know who I'm working until sometimes shortly before bell time and we are told exactly how long to work and what they want in the match, no if and or butts. This is more of a "yes sir" old-school type of show that is hard to get booked for in this area. The guys tend to call longer spots than any other show I've worked so far, with less improvisation.

I hope that answered the question... if I'm not clear just ask me what part I need to answer.
