Josh Koscheck hat sich verletzt und wird nicht den Bellator 148 Main Event gegen Matt Secor bestreiten koennen. Neuer Main Event den genauso viele sehen wollen wie der vorherige ist jetzt: Paul Daley vs Andy Uhrich

Scott Coker sagte nun das er mit Wanderlei Silva (35-12-1) sprechen will um ihn zu Bellator zu holen:

“Not every free agent is a fit over here, but Wanderlei is someone we would like to have a serious discussion with. I think he’s in Brazil right now, and I think he’ll be back in town next month, and we’ll have some dialogue.”

Silva wurde letzten Monat von der UFC entlassen nach dem er zugeben musste das seine Fixed Fights Anschuldigungen eine Luege waren. Ansonsten trat der mittlerweile 39 jaehrige Wanderlei Silva im Maerz 2013 zuletzt an, als er Brian Stann ausknockte. Danach sollte er im July 2014 gegen CHael Sonnen antreten, aber der Fight wurde gecancelt da Sonnen positiv getetestet wurde, und Silva vom Dopingtest davon lief. Silva bekam eine Lebenslange Sperre, danach hatte er sein Retirement verkuendet, und eine Vendetta gegen die UFC und die NSAC gestartet. Im kommenden Monat gibt es noch Mal eine Anhoerung vor der NSAC wo noch Mal ueber die Lebenslange Sperre neu entschieden wird.

Benson Henderson (23-5-0) bestaetigte nun das er zu Bellator FC gewechselt ist. Henderson ist 32 Jahre und gewann seine letzten beiden Fights. Er kann zudem im Lightweight und Welterweight antreten, hat in Korea eine solide Fanbase, und ist noch im besten Alter. Die beste Verpflichtung von Bellator seit Jahren. Wie schon Mal vor einigen Wochen gesagt, fuer Henderson hat fuer Bellator einen hohen Stellenwert, weil er sehr vielseitig ist.

Henderson`s Statement war:

I'd like to officially announce my move over to Bellator MMA.
I'm beyond excited for this next phase of my career, it's a big move, like any move when switching employers or jobs after having worked somewhere for such a long time.

I have to thank the BigMan upstairs for putting some amazing people in my life, my wife (first and foremost) and a lot of truly smart and insightful people behind the scenes who helped make the connections and negotiated this deal to bring it to fruition.

I'd be remiss to not thank Dana White and Lorenzo Fertita for the opportunities they presented me, you guys have helped me change my life for the better and to be able to provide my family with the things I didn't have while growing up. For that I'll always have the utmost appreciation. Thanks for all the advise you guys gave too, both business wise and personal.

And last but not least, to who it is I think of when I think of the UFC! Everybody behind the scenes who I personally dealt with every time I reported in or had to do something. There's a whole ton of people behind the scenes who make that show what it is. You guys and girls are the ones who make that show great and allow us fighters to do what it is we love!!! Benson Henderson wird in seinem Bellator Debut am 22 April in Uncasville, Connecticut auf den Bellator Welterweight Champion Andrey Koreshkov (18-1-0) treffen. Koreshkov verlor bisher nur gegen Ben Askren.

Sergei Kharitonov (35 Jahre) hat nun bei Bellator FC unterschrieben. Der ehemalige PRIDE FC Heavyweight hat ein 23-5-0 Record, und haelt Siege ueber u.a. Fabricio Werdum, Alistair Overeem, Andrei Arlovski und Pedro Rizzo. Er gewann 5 Fights in Folge. Fuer Bellator sicher eine solide Verpflichtung fuer die ansonsten schwache Heavyweight Division.

Am 4 Maerz kommt es bei Bellator 151 zum Fight zwischen Bubba Jenkins vs Goiti Yamauchi. Einer der besseren Featherweight Fights die Bellator machen kann.

Der 35 jaehrige Chris Leben kommt aus einem zwei jaehrigen Retirement zurueck und wird in Zukunft bei Bellator antreten, das gab Scott Coker bekannt: “I met with him and felt comfortable. He’s got some physicals to pass, but pending the passing of all his physicals, he will be a Bellator fighter.” Die Tests duerften kein Problem sein, den schliesslich bekommt ja auch Ken Shamrock die Freigabe.

Seit seinem Retirement war Leben mehrere Monate im Gefaengniss und ist auf drei Jahre Bewaehrung nun wieder frei (aufgrund eines Einbruchs), gab jedoch Ende letzten Jahres bekannt das er fuer ein Comeback trainiert. Er hat einen 22-11-0 MMA Record, einen 12-10-0 UFC Record, war zweimal positiv getestet worden, und verlor seine letzten 4 Fights. Der letzte Sieg hatte er ausgerechnet 2011 gegen Wanderlei Silva.

Nach dem Benson Henderson die UFC fuer Bellator verlassen hat, gibt es nun ein paar Saeze die hin und her gehen.

Angefangen hat es mit Dana White der gesagt hat das man Henderson ein besseres Angebot gemacht hat, er jedoch zu Bellator ging fuer mehr Geld. Ausserdem sei Henderson auf dem Weg nach unten, und die UFC schaut nach Fightern die auf dem Weg nach oben sind….

“The truth is we made him an offer that would have paid him substantially more - like not even in the same ballpark - than he's getting now if he were to become world champion again, but he chose their deal, which offered more up front..

He's a former world champion who's ranked No. 15 now. We're looking for top-5 guys, guys that are going from 15 to 1, not the other way around.

This could be the last contract he ever signs. He got the right deal for him. He's a great guy, and we wish him all the best.”

Benson Henderson sagte daraufhin das man ja Dana kennt, die UFC Ratings man nicht ernst nimmt:

“We know Dana. You know Dana. I know Dana. We’ve heard some other things he said. That was the worst he said? He didn’t say my momma was ugly; he didn’t say I was the worst fighter in history? If that’s all he said, that’s not too bad, considering his history of outlandish quotes.

If you’re a onetime champion and you lose, does the UFC not want you at all any more? Or how about all their past UFC champions who held gold, armbarred everybody in the first round, and then they lose and now they’re ranked No. 3 or 4 or 5?

We know what those rankings mean anyway. There’s not much weight behind those rankings.”

Der ehemalige BFC Lightweight Champion Michael Chandler (14-3-0) hat einen neuen Bellator Vertrag ueber mehrere Jahre unterschrieben. Chandler ist seit 2010 bei Bellator, und hatte 2011 einen Fight of the Year als er Eddie Alvarez besiegte.

Scott Coker dazu:
“Michael Chandler is synonymous with our brand and doubles as an incredibly talented and exciting mixed martial artist. Not every fighter or free agent aligns with our future plans, but when looking at Chandler’s resume, inking him to a long-term extension was a no-brainer. I look forward to getting him back in action as soon as possible.”

Die Bellator Lightweight Division hat aktuell u.a. Will Brooks (Champion), Michael Chandler, Josh Thomson, und evtl Benson Henderson.

Scott Coker gab bekannt das er selber zurueck zu den eigenen Wurzeln gehen wird, und das Bellator 2016 auch Kickboxing Events abhalten wird, die Promotion wird dann als “Bellator Kickboxing“ bekannt sein.

“In 1985 we started a kickboxing series that aired on ESPN. This was before ESPN had Major League Baseball or the NFL. It was Australian Rules Football, SportsCenter and martial arts programming, which was our kickboxing. It evolved from full-contact karate to kickboxing and eventually MMA came. But throughout the ‘90s I always loved throwing in kickboxing, worked with promoters all over the world, had the chance to work with many organizations. Today we’re happy to announce that Spike TV and Bellator and our whole operation is going to the kickboxing business.”

Die erste Bellator Kickboxing Card wird am 16 April in Italy stattfinden, mit dem Main Event Melvin Manhoef vs Alexandru Negrea. Der Event wird auf Spike TV ausgestrahlt werden nach der Bellator MMA Show.

Dabei kann es durchaus Events geben wo MMA und Kickboxing zusammen stattfinden werden (so wie letztes Jahr bei einem Bellator Event).

Event war natuerlich die Witz Veranstaltung wie es vorher ja klar war. Slice vs Dada5000 ist eine Nomminierung als Worst MMA Fight of all Time Wert, und ja ich weiss das es mal Giant Silva vs Akebono gab. Beide Fighter waren extrem unterstes Niveau und Dada5000 war so fertig, der haette sterben koennen und hatte ein Nirrenversagen und spaeter im Krankenhaus ist sein Herz stehen geblieben. Da hatte Bellator noch Glueck.

Ken Shamrock verlor dann gegen Royce Gracie (war ja vorher klar), aber mit STRIKES! Fuer Gracie war es der erste TKO Sieg in der Karriere. Shamrock hat jetzt einen 2-9-0 Record in den letzten 11 Fights. Shamrock fuehlte sich natuerlich nach der klaren Niederlage hinterher wieder betrogen. Ja, es sah aus als ob es ein illegal knee gab, aber Ken reagierte erst spaeter beim zweiten Knie zum Kopf auf den nut shot, und hoerte auf zu fighten.

Bellator hat natuerlich einen neuen Rating Rekord aufgestellt mit 1,964 Millionen Zuschauer, der vorherige Rekord war vom Vorjahr, die aehnliche Freak Show um Kimbo Slice vs Ken Shamrock mit 1,580 Millionen Zuschauer. Einer der schlechtesten Fights der MMA Geschichte mit Kimbo vs Dada erreichte den Peak mit 2,5 Millionen Zuschauern, waehrend Royce vs Ken immernoch 2,4 Millionen Zuschauer hatte.
