In kuerze wird eine neue Woman`s Only Promotion starten, SuperGirls Wrestling. Die Promotion wird der Ableger sein von Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW) und von Ex ECCW Booker Mark Vellios (aka Michelle Starr) promotet werden. Woman`s Wrestling ist seit etwas ueber einem Jahrzehnt nichtmehr so Populaer wie noch vor 20 oder 30 Jahren, einige Indypromotions haben vielleicht 1-2 Woman`s Gimmick Matches auf der Card, mehr aber auch nicht. IWA Mid-South`s Projekt einer eigenstaendigen Woman`s promotion scheiterte bereits bei der Planung. SuperGirls Wrestling wird wenn die Promotion an den Start geht, die einzige Woman`s Wrestling Promotion in Nord Amerika sein, wo die Wrestler die Manager und Valets sind. Das Ziel ist es eine feste Promotion in ganz Canada zu etablieren, und die Chancen der Wrestlerinen zu verbessern ihren Traum von Japan wahr werden zulassen.
Mark Vellios meinte ueber das Projekt: “There are a lot of really great girl wrestlers out there. But a lot of times those that do get into wrestling don't stick with it as long as the guys do because they don't have the opportunity to wrestle as much and therefore don't have the chance to improve. The guys we use on ECCW shows are all so good because of all the chances they have had to wrestle -- hopefully now we can offer the same opportunities to the girls. To be honest, a lot of fans are going to be more concerned with how the girls look than how the girls wrestle. Attractive girls are a selling feature, no doubt. But we want girls who are attractive and talented. Once the fans see how good these girls can wrestle, they'll come back again.”
Die ersten Shows von SuperGirls Wrestling wird es am 23 und 24 September geben. Mit dabei sind einige der besten Wrestlerinen in Nord Amerika, Rebecca Knox (NWA Ireland), LuFisto aka Precious Lucy (LLF-ASPW), Sarah Stock (LLF), Miss Chevius und Madison (ECCW), Nattie Neidhart (Stampede), Chearleader Melissa, (APW), Samantha Slides (MPW) und natuerlich die NWA World Woman`s Champion Lexie Fyfe.
