Kairi Sane is leaving WWE

It was earlier reported that WWE didn't want to re-sign [lexicon]Kairi Sane[/lexicon] and was done with the WWE Superstar. After a few days, we learned that the company is interested in keeping Sane on and is looking to offer her a contract she can't refuse.


Amid the above rumors, Tokyo Sports reported that [lexicon]Kairi Sane[/lexicon] would be returning to Japan as early as next month. Now, according to PWInsider, Sane is on her way out of the WWE.


The website has reported that today's WWE taping will be [lexicon]Kairi Sane[/lexicon]'s last as it marks her final date with the company. The report also notes that Sane is leaving WWE on good terms and that she will remain a part of WWE's extended family.

[lexicon]Kairi[/lexicon] is said to be leaving on good terms and “will remain part of WWE’s extended family.” There was supposedly talk she could serve as an ambassador for the company in Japan, but if that’s the plan, we’ll likely have to wait until after a COVID vaccine is available to find out.For now, the joshi legend will settle into life as a newlywed in her home country.

Pegged as the biggest show in the company's history, Stardom was interested in having Sane ([lexicon]Kairi Hojo[/lexicon]) in a high profile singles match or even in the legends Royal Rumble-style match if it made it easier to get permission. Still under contract to WWE and working as a Japanese ambassador for the company, the request was denied.

In a post on Instagram, [lexicon]Sasha Banks[/lexicon] has asked former NXT Women’s Champion [lexicon]Kairi Sane[/lexicon] to “come back” to WWE while wishing her a happy birthday.

Last year, Sane announced that she was leaving WWE to move home to Japan and retired from pro wrestling.

Sane wrote, “Thank you for the birthday message‼︎ Hope to see you somewhere again”
