Folgendes hat Ricardo Arona vor kurzem ueber Wanderlei Silva gesagt:
“I don't consider Wanderlei (Silva) as a favorite to take this title. Wanderlei's game is working because he's too aggressive and with one blow he can define a fight. But he's just counting on it, to hit a blow and define the fight. I think a fighter must be a little better than it. If the fight becomes tight, the fighter may have to develop it (switch tactics) and I think he can't. His ground game is not so good; he doesn't know how to take the opponent down; and on the feet, he is just counting on a merciful blow. He's less complete than me, Minotoro, Shogun and Alistair.

Wenn Arona und Silva im Finale sind, dann wird es ein War geben.

Zu Belfort. Ich hoffe er bekommt kein allzuschweren gegner denn ansonsten kassiert er seine 4 Niederlage in Folge. Ein Belfort vs Randleman Fight wuerde mich interessieren.

Takada Nobuhiko hat bei der Pride FC Bushido Vol.8 Show heute die Semi-Finals des diesjaehrigen Middleweight Grand Prix offiziell bekannt gegeben. Alistair Overeem hatte am vergangenen Donnerstag auf seine Seite berichtet das er auf Wanderlei Silva im Semi-Final trifft, Overeem wird jedoch im Semi Final auf Mauricio Rua treffen. Somit wird also Ricardo Arona vom Brazilian Top Team im Semi Final auf den Pride FC Middleweight Champion Wanderlei Silva von Chute Box treffen.

So gefaellt mir das schon besser, damit sind die Chancen fuer Silva wieder gefallen. Vielleicht schafft ja Arona den Upset, oder aber er geht mit Silva ueber die runden, damit der im Finale etwas erschoepft ist, wuerde ja auch schon reichen. Jedenfalls in der Theorie ;)

Die letzten 4 im diesjaehrigen Middleweight Grand Prix haben sich nun geauessert zu ihren Fights ende August:

-Wanderlei Silva:
“After the second-round fight in June I hoped that I would fight Alistair because his striking style and my style will match well in the PRIDE ring. And it will be very thrilling. But after the fan poll it’s decided that I’m fighting Ricardo Arona. I heard that the Japanese fans hope I revenge for Sakuraba against Arona. I always keep this in mind: The most important things for us is to make fans happy, as Sakuraba always says. All the Chute Boxe team members respect Sakuraba a lot, and this time I will teach Arona what the real professional fight is. The result will be pretty much the same as how Quinton ended up. In the final, I’ll probably end up fighting against “Shogun.” I’ll fight him with 100 percent, and I’ll show everybody the Chute Boxe style. Thank you for supporting us. “

-Ricardo Arona:
“Finally I get to fight Silva and I’m very excited. He’s been ducking a fight against me. But there’s no way to escape from me now. In June, Rogerio lost against a Chute Boxe guy, so this time the Brazilian Top Team will become a team again … and beat Silva. It’s time for me (tiger) to eat the champion. I’ll be the champ in August. “

“I was already thinking that I’m going to face Arona. But now I heard I’m facing Alistair and I’m happy that he’s my opponent. He’s a striker like I myself, so it’s going to be a very exciting fight. Pride FC gab nun drei weitere Fights fuer die kommende Final Conflict Show bekannt, darunter auch den Reserve Fight des Middleweight Grand Prix. Den Reserve Fight werden Igor Vochanchyn und Kazuhiro Nakamura bestreiten. Beide Fighter schieden im diesjaehrigen MW Grand Prix in der zweiten Runde aus, Igor Vovchanchyn gegen Overeem und Nakamura gegen Wanderlei Silva. In einem weiteren Middleweight Fight werden Vitor Belfort und Yuki Kondo aufeinander treffen, beide verloren ihre Erstrunden Fights im MW GP, Vitor Belfort gegen Alistair Overeem und Yuki Kondo gegen Igor Vovchanchyn. Beide haben zuletzt Niederlagen am Stueck kassiert, Kondo verlor 3 der letzten 4 Fights, waehrend Vitor Belfort seine letzten 3 Fights alle verlor. Ausserdem hat nun Tank Abbott um den es seit Wochen Geruechte gab, auch zu seinem Fight gegen Hidehiko Yoshida zugestimmt indem er sein Pride FC Debut geben wird. Damit stehen nun 7 Fights fuer die Pride FC Final Conflict 2005 Show fest:

Pride FC hat nun einen weiteren Fight bestaetigt. Dabei ist der Fight ein Buildup fuer den Main Event. Roman Zentsov der Trainingspartner von Fedor Emelianenko wird auf Fabricio Werdum den Trainingspartner von Mirko CroCop treffen.
